Works well, have used it for years. However, it continues to get more expensive each year for just a Basic S/W Program. If it does not come down in price next I will use it's major competitor.
Pros: Easy to prepare

I have used H&R Block software for the past 10 years. The software is very user friendly and easy to understand. This year was the first year that my filed taxes were rejected. After some research, I found that this year's software did not carry over last year's AGI. Once I figured out what was wrong, I had to override the box with the AGI and type in last year's AGI. I then refiled my taxes and everything was good.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast

I've used the software for years. Over all very good. However, there are two sections that need work. The RMD section is very confusing. Just ask if you have withdrawn the required RMD for this tax year and then move on.
Also a similar question for taking the standard deduction. I never have to itemize so let me skip over that section if I want to.

I have a new computer. Sad that you don't have copies of all my prior filings with you so a lot of unnecassry information to provide. You gave me one box for the AGI number for filing and then filled it with the wrong #. Rejected by IRS so I had to go dig out paper versions of 2024 returns. You also need to permit the election of the standard deduction instead of having to wade through a bunch of questionnaires that are no benefit to the vast majority of folks. Note that I already provided you with feedback on a similar form a week ago.
