When I was filling out the form I came across an unexpected question about RMD’s. I filled out the form as well as I could and asked a few questions about it to the AI service but it could not answer my questions. I tried to go back to the place where I entered my information but was not able. The only thing I could do was to start a whole new file. So I did and my problem was solved. My problem was that there was no mention of RMD on one of our 1099’s and I didn’t enter the amount on the form the first time. I entered both amounts (added together) on the form and I completed the filing without errors.

As an annual customer since 2012, I found this year the most confusing. Credit must go to Congress for the many changes, some of which make little sense. The HR Block sequence of interviews needs more work to eliminate confustion and autofill errors. W2 block 12 was autofilled with values that required multiple manual corrections to clear final audit. The fact that I continue to purchase HR Block software speaks of how confident I am with their products,
