I’m 90 yrs old and always did my own taxes, paper until about 8 yrs ago, started with Turbo. This year because Turbo required Windows 11, my computer wasn’t compatible. I researched HRBlock and was Leary. My son, who lives 2 hrs away was visiting me and told me he would help me , it was an easy download. A couple weeks later, I purchased HR Block. But when I went to download, I was confused, so my son drove 2 hrs, and set it up. I said not to input my Turbo cause I didn’t want something in there I didn’t put in. The first thing it said was input last years Turbo. I couldn’t figure out how. I called my son again, and again he drove down from 2 hours away. He is a computer engineer, so he got it started. He then stayed for 2 hours and and helped me complete the for and submit it. He stayed until I got the message it was accepted by IRS. I got the refunds 7 days later. Never have I had such speedy response. HRBlock was wonderful. My only problem now is the colors in the screen are very difficult for me to read with my failing eyesight. Thank you, HRBlock for being there for me. I guess I will have to get a new computer, though, since Windows 10 will no longer be used next year.

Cons: Hard to import documents

I've used H&R Block for many years, because it works, and it works well, including generally easy to understand user interface with easy single button selections to review various sections of the process.
The free electronic filings are wonderful and although I don't enjoy the tax preparing/paying process in general, the H&R Block software let's me make fast work of the job.
