Easy to follow and fill in the blanks!

Just download the software and read each question, then fill in the form. Total time today was 3 hrs.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Overall good but encountered two areas of extreme deficiency.
First, where entering IRA and 401K RMD information, I took both RMD's exactly and on time, but when answering your questions in the way that made sense, it said that I owed a penalty of 25%. I finally entered the total amounts as "Distributions from all other sources", which doesn't make sense, to get the penalty to go away.
Second, in the sales of stocks/bonds for capital gains section, I had one which was reported to the IRS and one which which was not, which I entered truthfully. But only one would show up on the IRS Schedule D that you were showing. I redid it four times but the only way I could get both sales to show up on the form was to lie and say that neither was reported to the IRS. At least that won't result in a bill from the IRS whereas showing only one sale when there were two most certainly would. This section also sucked big time.

I have used HR Block software before, with acceptable results. However, t completed 2025
with no problems. I immediately indicated that I wanted it submitted electronically. I thought I saw that it was accepted by the IRS, as usual. It was not until 3/5 that I found out that it was not submitted. I don’t understand what happened. If it did not get submitted on 2/4, why is there not something in the software to alert that it is just sitting there in limbo? I will consider using other software in the future .
