Cost-effective

I used this program for many years. This year there was an irritating glitch when I tired importing my investment data. That was successful, but everytime I tired to close the window, the whole program shut down! I had to import everything manually when I couldn't import it after three times without closing the window causing the HRB program to shut down!
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast
Cons: Hard to import documents
I would recommend this to a friend!

great except for the next year planing section.

The planing section lacks detail, especially when determining the amount of SS that will be taxable when developing AGI

Great product but....

I downloaded the program to my “C” drive and all went well.... then I had a terrible problem trying to open the program. It kept asking me for my username and password and I tried many combinations until it blocked me out. Then it asked me for my email and it said they could not find me which was strange since I filed last year and have used your product annually since 1993. In frustration I closed the program down and low and behold there was the icon for H&R Block 2018 on my desktop. I opened the program and it brought up all the information from last year’s filing and I was off and running with no problems from that point on...yet the installation program insisted that they had no record of me as a customer...very strange.
I would rate your product 5 stars but only 1 star for downloading ease.

I'm SO used to the H&R Block tax software that I don't think I could use any other. I have few complaints with it other than a FEW questions require you to know the terminology which I don't always understand. That said, I muddle thru it.
I have a MAJOR heartburn, however, with the PRINT FORMS function. I like to keep a copy of the Form 1040 and Sched A and B (in prior years) but ... when I go to print it, it wants to print EVERYTHING!!! In 2018, something has changed and the forms don't even look the same. I had to print 8 pages just to print the Form 1040. I would like to print one side of it at a time, as well.
PLEASE upgrade your print function. Allow ME to decide what I want to print, or not.
I'm rating you at 5 overall but if this print problem doesn't get fixed, it's going down next year.

Tries to force me to enter US state when it is clearly stated that we are living outside the USA.

Used Turbo Tax in the past but I liked this so much better
