Easy to use!

I have been using this product for over a decade and very happy with its features. It imports all necessary data from our mutual funds investments and processes it efficiently ... never questioned by IRS.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Garbage with horrific automated customer service

They hit me with fees everywhere, refused to take my call and sent me in automated robocall circles. The tax software is extremely confusing and there are hidden fees for e-filing. Honestly h&r is garbage and can to duck itself.
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy to use and cheap

I've been using H&R Block Basic for many years, back when it was called Tax Cut from Microsoft. It's easy to use and cheap. One year I used Turbo Tax instead. I like the user interface of Turbo Tax better but it costs twice as much. The only thing I dislike about H&R Block is the rounding of numbers. I have many stock transactions that are less than $1. The rounding turns them into a profit or loss of $1. I know this is small. But I want them to be as accurate as possible. Also, it is easier for me to double check the amounts against my documents if they are not rounded off.

I have used H&R block for many years and find it very easy to follow the step by step instructions and to find the answers to questions.

Excellent For First Timers!

By the recommendation of a friend, I purchased this version of H&R Block's Basic software for my Mac. Having not done my own taxes in over "50" years, I found this software was easy to understand and each section has a HELP link!
I will definitely purchase this version for 2019!
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
I would recommend this to a friend!

Worked just as well as I needed. I don't want any extra income outside of my regular job, so i only wanted to file the federal tax. It was quick and easy to understand.
