This Year It Sucks

Purchased and installed the program from disc. Prepared three returns. Submitted all three returns fed/state electronically. First two returns accepted in a couple hours. The third return stayed pending for 11 days. Trying to reach H&R support was a nightmare. Finally got through on fifth attempt. The problem was in H&R's software. Had to wait four more days for a scheduled update. Refiled electronically fed/state--was charged AGAIN for e-file. Going to look at other options for next near.
Pros: Easy to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Purchased advance copy on-line which allowed me to prepare back in November. Really like the fact I did not have to wait. Helped to determine the amount of money to withdraw from 401k / IRA in December and still keeping in 10-12% tax bracket.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast

I have used the H&R Block Software for several years and have always found it simple and easy to use. If you have questions, click a button and the definition is there. If I have a major issue, I can always call someone or do the research myself.
