This program has too many limitations

I have used tax software for years. This year, the H&R Block basic software had so many limitations that it left me way too frustrated. 1) I suggested I "might" need to fill out form 8606 by hand and directed me to the IRS publication. I would suggest that a paid software program should be able to walk me through the right questions to determine what was needed. 2) It would not let me print or save to PDF a "completed" copy of my return until after I e-filed. I would suggest that I should be able to do it before e-filing and consider it very offensive that the software program that I purchased prevented me from doing so. 3) I was not allowed to go into "forms" view and make any changes. I used to be able to do this in previous years with Turbo Tax. I also find this offensive that the software I paid for forces me to go back and forth between a barely readable form and their difficult to navigate questions sections. Overall I was highly unsatisfied, yet will state that it did sort out the numbers on my tax return correctly (I think).
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

If it is your second year using the product, it carries forward needed data and information from the previous year. If using the state form, it has virtually all of the needed information from the completed Federal form. The product is worth the money and a real time saver.
