USERS SHOULD HAVE A CHOICE ON WHETHER THEY WOULD LIKE THEIR CHECK SENT DIRECT DEPOSIT OR HAVE IT MAILED TO THEM. IT TOOK MUCH TOO LONG AS YOUR PROGRAM INSISTED I SUPPLY BANK ROUTING NUMBER AND CHECK AND SAVINGS ACCOUNT NUMBERS. ELDERLY USERS WITH HEALTH PROBLEMS DO NOT HAVE TIME FOR THIS UNNECESSARY DEMAND. OTHERWISE IT IS VERY GOOD TAX PROGRAM.

The basic version provided good coverage of expected forms, and the error-checking sections found forms that were missing addresses, tax ID, or withdrawn state taxes. The software saved time, while capturing adjustments to reduce my federal tax payment. Definitely worth the purchase price.

I'm quite familiar with the Basic format from H & R Block since I've used it in the past. I would have given a 5 star rating but I'm a bit disappointed that in the beginning of the software, the program asks if I would like to upgrade to either Deluxe or Premium without giving me an opportunity to opt out of say no. The screen wouldn't take me to the "next" level of questions. Since I am familiar with the software, I had to manually "go to" the questions to skip over it since the opportunity wasn't there to say no, at which time I picked up where I needed to be in to continue with the program. It may not be important to you since you are searching for ways to get more $$ out of us customers but it's important to give us an opportunity to decide for ourselves, including opting out or saying "no thank you." Otherwise the software is ok for my basic needs.
