I've been using this tax software since it was "Andrew Tobias' TaxCut (25 years ago?). It has consistently improved year over year, and I have yet to get audited or notice of an error from the IRS. I tried TurboTax once, but came back.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast

I have used Blocks software for several years and have found it satisfactory. I once was an Enrolled Agent and had 15 years of tax prep experience. This year I had problems in entering stock sales that were not reported to the IRS so it took a lot of time trying to get it to allow electronic filing. I still think the sales were not entered completely correctly but I think my Sch D was as it should be. I have not had this problem in the past. So I hope next year's program will be ok for me.

A basic and low price for a product that other companies require additional charges for expanded area of tax preparation. The basic software covers all tax issues for individual and /joint Federal tax submission

No! I feel stuck with it and have become upset with the way the program handles gambling losses. I report no cummulative winnings but the program puts losses as a deduction and eats up my limited personal deductions. I fight with IRS each year taking a lot of my time.
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund
