Works great on uncomplicated returns. If you had major expenses, sold a house or have rentals this is not the one for you. However, with a few investments, savings and bank accounts this will work just fine.

This software is listed as "basic" but it handled everything you would think you would need to pay for more to get more feature-loaded versions like my investments, capital loss carryforwards, and calculating taxes for rental properties I own. It's not advertised that way, but I guess for legal reasons, the basic version has to be able to handle more sophisticated tax situations which makes it an exceptional value.

Program works fine. Transfers from previous returns correctly. Simple to use. Only problem is the state e-file fee they slap on at the end is excessive and you are not informed of the amount until you have entered all the info. If you decide you want to avoid it and paper file your state return, you must go back a half dozen screens and then re-enter. I think they call this "bait and switch" in retailing.
