I have been using this program for over 6 years. It's a great and easy program to file your own tax return.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Went through the final “Error Check” that’s purported to make certain there are Zero errors...As of 01/14/2022 my return is held due to a simple mathematical numerical error..that was not supposed to happen. Accepted and sent 03/21/2021.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

In cases of fraud where a person has had their return hacked, the IRS has assigned PIN's. I was unable to locate the place where to record this in your software. It required multiple calls until one associate took the time to research the issue and point me to the proper place. In 2019 I completed a return and paid the required tax. I was pleasantly surprised when receiving a refund of over 50% of my payment. Having taught income taxation for many years, I am familiar with its workings. However I thought it prudent not to call the IRS to learn how this occurred.
I e-filed in May expecting a $501 refund. Two months have past without received it. I re-checked the program only to discover it was rejected and listing 3 potential reasons. I printed and mailed the return. I have used the H&R software for MANY years. The ease of usage and support have greatly diminished.

The fact that you cannot get the cd to download the software is bad. I purchSed the Deuxe edition and could not get it to download was very upsetting. I wasted my money and then paid on your website. I will not do that again. I Loved it until you took away the cd.
