Easy to use Tax Return Software program

As with this H&R Block Basic 2021 Software, I have been a long-time user of H&R Block's Tax Return Software, since 2013. I always find it easy to use, and it's a great "lead through" software program. I am glad to see the self-updating feature, in the left upper, Tax Return amount display. Importing my previous 2020 Tax Return Info was very helpful.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

MY EXPERIENCE WITH H&R BLOCK BASIC 2021 SOFTWARE

I have used your software for 61 years of joint returns with my wife. In 2021 my wife divorced me and I had to file single. I started out 3 times and got frustrated until on the 3rd try I spent more time following your directions and have now filed on the internet and was accepted by the IRS. Thanks!
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund

H & R digitals make filing easier!

I have been using H & R all my life. Before the computers, I visited the closet H & R's until the computers came out. I have been using the digitals when they came out. I am 86 years old so I have been using H & R for a long time!

I have used H & R Block for years. Always with ease and satisfaction. I'm 85. This year I had some confusion over the EIC and EIP responses. Mostly because I have never been eligible for the EIC before. Still a great program. Looking forward to using it next year..

First time rough going with Basic

I have used H&R Block Basic for 5+ years and been very satisfied. This year progress was stalled twice by an message "pending update" on an entry form (not starting program). It had a link that said it would give the update date, but the page it took me to didn't have that info. I finally found a list of forms and update dates. Hard to tell which one was pending for my case. Finally updates release and submitted return (now pending).
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming

Works great right up until it doesn't

Easy to use but this is the second year in a row where it balks at sending your forms until you update. But your credit card is charged at this point. So then you try to update and it appears to update but then tries to update again, and again, with the same updates. You have to reboot the computer to finally get it to update properly. So then once you update you have to go through the same payment screens yet again, and H&R Schlock charges your credit card again. So now you've been charged twice for filing state. I complained about this last year and it still happens. Change your freaking code!

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
