Basic version is sufficient for my tax situation and the price is affordable.

After so many years with TT, I’m just so glad to have moved on to H&R’s program. A far less annoying and much more pleasant experience.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents

Very user friendly, organized, very clear, easy to navigate and reasonable priced. I've been using HR block software for a least 6 years straight now.

This product desires five stars if they would fix the import financial data problem. When I import 1099 or 5498 forms from Fidelity for a specific income section of H&R Basic Tax Software, all 1099 and 5497 forms are imported not just the form(s) pertaining to that section. At the end of completing data entry, I must go back and delete the duplicates to get the correct tax calculation.

I switched to H&R Block tax software from TurboTax because it costs less and has more features.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Stressful Changes Tax 2021

I've been a looooong time user of the Block product. By far, this has been the most stressful effort to complete and send the program off. I'm a faithful user and will probably continue to do so but as a senior, it's hard to adjust to the program changes.
Pros: Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

Complete tax return software

Excellent coverage of a most involved process, the IRS tax code.
Had a last-minute glitch in printing my return, but found removal of printer from my MAC OS and then having HRBLOCK app select the printer during the print dialogue worked fine, showing the HRBLOCK app was programmed well, better than MAC OS, it seems!
