I have used it for many years. Different versions if needs were more complicated, but for the most part the basic will serve most people's needs. I'd say for the money, it beats the competition. Actually, I have never used Turbo Tax because it is so much more expensive and I can't really imagine what more it could offer than H&R Block.

H&R Block Federal Income Tax Return Program is excellent. Just follow instructions and it never failed me over the years. It’s the only program I am using since the early ‘80s.

I've been using the H&R Block Basic Software since I've switched over from TurboTax for over a decade now. The Basic Software is easy to use, covers all my needs, it has been error free so far, and it's priced the best amongst all other software out there. I've introduced H&R Block software to 2 of my friends in 2021, and they did a comparison of their tax filings with both software and found H&R Block Basic software to be easier to use and found some checking points that were missed or difficult to find within TurboTax.

They didn’t give all common necessary 2021 tax forms. Missing 8915-F. We’ll never buy their software again after having used it for decades.
