The tax software makes me feel fearless. It takes away lots of calculations and considerations that I have had to do when I did my taxes using the Federal forms and instructions. It is reassuring in that I know I can't screw up the math. The best part was the ability to e-file. I have used H & R Block software for many years. Somehow, the 2022 edition seemed to be easier to use than what I have used in the past. Filing standard deduction probably helped for this but the whole program just seemed to install easier and run easier than in the past. Considering that tax regulations get more detailed every year this is quite an accomplishment. The included electronic filing makes things a lot easier, too. I combined that with allowing the IRS to credit my refund directly to an account. I was absolutely amazed at how soon I had my money.
