The tax input and calculations were straight forward and easy to complete. The frustrating part came when it was time to send the return to the IRS. Multiple times I received an error message saying my computer was not connecting to their server. Apparently there was a bad gateway. Because this was on April 14th, I needed to be sure the return was sent, so I printed the return and took it to the post office and mailed it. Later that evening I found an email that the IRS had accepted my return. Great, they probably received multiple electronic submissions and one hard copy that was mailed. Hope this doesn't cause me other problems or issues!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The product is decent. I’ve been using this software for years. This year they had an issue when submitting via efile where it took about a day of trying as they had server issues. A little disconcerting after spending a fair amount of time preparing and loading information. Other than this one time, it has always worked as advertised.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

The only reason I buy the software is to e-file taxes for convenience and not have to go to the post office. The e-filing did not work this year and after trying over and over for hours, a message came up in the software that the HR Block servers were having known problems and we should all go print and mail our returns.

I’ve used tax cut for many many years. This year I could not file electronically. Kept getting errors. Looks like I was not the only person having this issue judging from what I could find online. I will not use tax cut ever again.

Why would you maintain the site right before day?

When I tried to e file my taxes the website would not submit. I tried on April 14th I tried on April 15th. I tried multiple times. I gave up because I had tried so many times and each time it said the website was having maintenance on tax day! Seems like the worst time for that! When I logged in for the last time to print it had submitted but had not notified me. Made for a very stressful day!
Pros: Fast
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
