I've been using the H&R Block tax app for several year. It makes tax preparation so fast and easy. I no longer postpone and dread tax prep like I did in year before using it. It even allows for easily preparing a 1040X like I did this year when I forgot to list a 1099.

I completed taxes and suddenly had to enter a BRAND NEW SIC DIGIT TAX ID THAT WAS UNAVAILABLE DUE TO WEBSITE CONNECTION PROBLEMS FOR SENDING LICENSE PHOTOS, ETC. That issue delayed my filing and refund. When I retried my submittal, SUDDENLY, I COULD USE THE 5 DIGIT IDS I HAD USED FOR THE PREVIOUS TWO FILING YEARS. You have a good product; I have used it since 2019 tax year. However, don't let artificial intelligence, or whatever the IRS requires, to make your submittal system less efficient. The ID you require has worked for the last three years. I have the digital ID recorded for use. I would like to continue to use your existing system. However, I am afraid you will fall prey to some artificial intellingence gambit that looks efficient, but is not effective.
