I've used H&R software for several years. I think the 'interview' style of data-entry is straight-forward. My return is not a complicated one so this works well for me.
My only small complaint is that I do occasional 'gig' work and it seems the software doesn't have an obvious place to input those $ that have no related W-2. I've been able to get it included--and the IRS hasn't yelled at me...so I guess its okay.

Was not user friendly. I tried to send my tax return to IRS 5 times. It was refused each time.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

This software gets the job done in what I consider a roundabout way. It doesn't follow the 1040 form in order, it seems to kind of jump around gathering the info needed so if you are used to a 1040 form, it gets confusing at times. In the end it all works out.
