Update issues

After completing my taxes on my Mac, the software would not update. I had to download the program on my PC which had no update problems. Needless to say, I did my taxes again on my PC, Also, the interface could be updated. Boxes where you input data could be bigger. It should have a nicer-looking interface overall.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I could do a simulation of various scenarios with my own software. For example, I could find the maximum amount of Roth IRA conversion without triggering my overall tax.
Pros: Easy to prepare

I’ve used their tax software for years and trust their results. It allows me too calculate my taxes, submit the forms and if needed make electronic payments to the IRS.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast

The HR Block programming team obviously did a quick and dirty conversion to the Windows user interface and we have to live with the results. I usually have to check through the data I have entered 3 times, because the presentation is so different from my source documents. Reporting is just a regurgitation of the IRS forms.

So easy to use

I have been buying H and R Block software to do my taxes for years. I appreciate the fact that they find deductions and credits I didn’t know existed. The software is helpful, easy to follow and wonderful to file with efile. I recommend their products without question.
