I have used your software for more than 25 years. I was audited last year and you did nothing. This year, you raised the price of your software by approximately 250%. I will continue using your software only until I can find an alternative product.

I have been using the H & R Block Software for several years and will continue to do so. It makes it simple and easy to prepare my tax return. First it downloads the necessary information from last year's return and then goes step by step thru the new return . Program prompts you if there's a problem. Review return and file electronically.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Had to buy Basic for 5 returns! Used to be able to get Basic 3 returns half the price. It's just basic, why expensive? Don't really care for the 'interview' style. Just got thru the 1040 form and be done. So much easier to follow along.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents

The 1099R section was confusing, especially the part about the "window of opportunity" what was that all about? The help explanation was of no help at all.
I was fined for not taking enough RMD when I actually took more than the required amount. Maybe the amount withheld for taxes was deducted from the amount I withdrew because I didn't actually receive the full required RMD amount? That was not done in past years.

They make it simple to download and install. The program walks you through filing your federal and state taxes. I did the efile for both and it was a breeze. Thanks!
