With filing fees plus state program download fees, my out of pocket expenses went up by a factor of 5.

I have used the H & R Block basic software for several years and have always been pleased. This year, as I completed my return. the final check revealed that one form was not acceptable to the IRS and I needed to wait a few days do receive an update. I got the update, but there were no instructions about how to proceed from there, so the only thing I could figure out was to start my return over again. That made this year's return more cumbersome. Thus, I couldn't justify 5 stars.
