Tried it two years. Never did get a refund. In fact, one year shows $0.00 income, second year never did register.
Cons: Hard to prepare

I've used H&R Block tax return software for years, starting back when I bought discs to download. I've always been completely satisfied with the service and their attention to detail. The form is easy to follow and complete. I always appreciate their checking my returns and being able to fix any error I had made.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

H&R Block tax software is great. The step by step interview walks you through the whole tax return process. It makes it easy to file online and it's nice to be able to file returns for family members for no extra charge. We got our tax refund back in about one week!

I have used your software for several years. The 2024 software was much more difficult to use this year. There were certain issues that were unclear with poor direction. For example, there was a section in which you determine if you have satisfied the IRA RMD requirements. This did not work properly or the directions were unclear. also, I felt that the instructions for entering information regarding the K-1 information was not clear.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've been using HRB Basic Edition for over a decade and have never been disappointed. It's easy to navigate, accurate and handles a variety of situations that I didn't expect in a "Basic" application like IRA with a basis, various credits and securities transactions. I also like the fact that it is usually available in November so I can better estimate my Q4 estimated payment for the current year obligation in January.
