Okay program. Not always user friendly. Needs improved directions on filling out some of the forms. Kept getting an error and directions on the form page where not clear on how to fix error. Needs to tell you what your AGI (adjusted gross income) is without having to print the form, so that I could do my state taxes.
Have been using H & R block basic now about 5 yrs. No major compaints.
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've used this software for several years and have been generally happy with it. However, the accuracy review within usually leads to some obstacles that are difficult to resolve with no information as to how to resolve them. I spent 1.5 hours "chatting" with their personnel before the solution on one box to check: "Just leave it blank." This was on the Capital Gains and Losses worksheet. I've encountered similar frustrations in years past. More explanations in a sidebar on each ambiguous item would be helpful. Otherwise the IRS has accepted my returns and refunds have come promptly, electronically to my checking account,

Asking me to register every time I log in is annoying. I declined. You should accept that and leave me alone. I switched from Turbo Tax after 20+ years because of price. With a lot of free options out there the basic price needs to be kept in check.
