This past year we had some hurricane damages.
Procedures regarding claims for qualified casualty losses have been evolving.
The most recent software update provides the correct final guidance on this subject.
I was able to submit my return in February, and it has been accepted by the IRS.

I have been using the H&R Block tax software for many years. I find it easy to follow and the Basic edition provides everything I need to file my taxes. I always find it a little tricky to complete the section where I work for someone else and receive a 1099-NEC. That section starts by asking about my business and I don't consider myself as having a business, I work for someone else. But I eventually get it worked out.
