the program was relatively easy to use except when it came to report the sale of an investment. I had difficulty because the program wasn't clear on how to report it. The Chat feature didn't help either until I was able to access a real person. She was very helpful.

Frustrated with the collection of drivers license data for no reason. If it is not entered your software assumes the person is not a US Citizen, which is not a valid assumption. My mother in law never learned to drive and never had a drivers license. I went through my return and all the worksheets and my drivers license, which I provided never appears anywhere. I have been using the software for 20 + years and like it overall, but this drivers license issue needs to be fixed.

I finally realize that downloading the software is just as secure as having the CD on my disc drive.
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

I've been using your tax software for years. It is pretty good. For 2024 I found the RMD section a bit more confusing than necessary, which cost me some time. I also wasn't able to find the basic version at a discounted price this year, which was disappointing, but not a deal breaker. Overall, best product for my needs for several years.

I would like a better backup for the basic calculation that references the tax table. With qualified dividends, it seems impossible to get the exact taxable amount hitting the tax tables. A breakdown of each marginal tax calculation arriving at Line 16 would be great
