I have used HR Block for years and usually its works well. This year I had problems with the error check and filing. I am over 62 and do not get Social Security. The program kept putting in the Form SSA 1099 and wanted me to fill it in. It was hard getting the program to delete the form and would not let me efile until it was removed.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have used this software since 1998 when it was known as Tax Cut. It is simply the best in my opinion, I have never been audited and only one return questioned by the IRS when I made a keying error, my bad.

i found the interview straightforward with the exception of the part regarding excess distribution /accumulation to an IRA. I completely fulfilled my RMD via a Qualified Charitable Distribution, in fact I exceeded my RMD. I had to obtain a copy of the corresponding form to actually understand what the interview was trying to discover.

The Software is excellent but the accessibility of purchasing it online in Australia for US Residents living overseas seems to be non-existent unless you have a US address and bank account. This is not good enough! Or am I missing something?
