I have used this basic tax package for a few years. It's very good and meets my needs. It has very easy to understand "Help" options in every section of the tax forms that have been able to answer most questions that I have.

I've used the H&R Tax Software and it's predecessor products every tax season for more than 25 years. I'm used to the user interface and will continue to use this tax software. My only complaint is the lack of support for the Form 1116 Schedule B Foreign Tax Carryover. The only option is to fill out this form manually, a tedious and mistake prone process.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents

I am very dissapointed with the H & R Block 2024 software for Mac. I found it very difficult to navigate the questions on Foreign Tax Credits and Hurricane disaster situations. It was cumbersome finding answers and to go back to check on tax results that were inappropriate. I had to start my return all over again avoiding the issues I had previously. If necessary I will file an amended return.I will not use this program in the future.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
