I have used TaxCut Basic for over a dozen years. It is not as easy to use as it should be. Capital gains worksheet uses cost basis terminology that is different from 1099s, such as what box is checked). It doesn't import data well from broker.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
