Software does what I need it to do for the most part, but navigation is clunky and confusing. I also don't like that the software is only able to be downloaded for a few months, even though I might have to access the information for a number of years. Save your downloaded install package in case you need to reinstall it; Block won't help with this.
Pros: Easy to prepare
I would recommend this to a friend!

I use H&R Block Tax Software to prepare my taxes for over 30 years already, and I love it.However, year after year I feel a trend to over simplify the product in favor of maybe higher margins alternatives. This year two thinngs compelled me to write this note: you raised your price beyond reasonable (+32% over last year, at your own website) and did not even provide an IRS Receipt for certifying the delivery of my return to them. You can succeed in turning something really good into something terrible. Please, don’t push it in this direction any further, or you will get it.

We needed help with our taxes. It appeared the software was not calculating ours correctly. It took several calls and a couple of weeks before we got a supervisor to explain what was going on. Overall it’s a good product and everyone we talked with was friendly, but it was a stressful experience.

I have been using H&R Block tax software for a long time - I have tax documents back to the 90's done with their software. I have never had any problems, never been audited, and the software makes it very simple to do my taxes. I won't use anything else.
