SUGGESTION FOR IMPROVEMENT

I entered my overseas pension information in the Retirement Income section on form 1099-R, but, of course this overseas payer did not have a TIN so I left that field blank. During the accuracy check this threw up a red flag so as I had a plane to catch I just deleted the form and re-ran the accuracy check - the flag had disappeared so I filed the form and went to the airport. During my trip I realized my mistake so on my return I followed the instructions to file an amended return on form 1099-X with the overseas pension income entered manually under other retirement income and refiled without issue. However your software offers no solutions that I could find for entering and filing an amended State Return (North Carolina), so I had to print the amended return and file by mail. This was very inconvenient and it would help if you could include a process for filing amended State returns electronically.

Don't have give alot of cash to CPAs & accountants

The software is mostly easy to use, but there were sections I was not too sure about how to answer. In the end, I finally figured it out. I am pretty satisfied with the results and I got a pretty good size tax refund sent through direct deposit to my bank account.
