This set was a neat build, specifically the A wing at the end. I liked it a lot and it is fun to play with. The battle platform is not the prettiest, but it's fun to use. I also like the mini-fig pilot, it has very high detail and is the best rebel pilot in my collection. The smart bricks are by far better than the Super Mario sets, due to their smaller form factor and versatility. I also like the turret's internal system. Another thing I enjoyed was the lifted area for the throne, it is a very nice display. Also, for some reason I got 12 extra capes which was lucky for me.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Overall not a good value, they cut the capes in half when the smart brick still works when you give the figure a full sized cape. Also the sounds don't sound "authentic" and sound like a knockoff toy instead of official

Its a bad set all the way around, genuinely one of the worst lego sub-themes, the only bearable thing is probably the look of the throne room itself. If you want to buy your kid a playset, choose AT-TE or literally anything else over this, and they definitely gonna be grateful.

That doesn't sound right! Your SMART Brick should have about 45 minutes of active playtime after a full charge. It can take up to 150 minutes to fully charge so give that a go! If it's not charging or working properly after that, please get in touch with us at LEGO.build/Service so we can help.

Undelivered Promise

I was interested to see how the Smart Play bricks would integrate into Lego because it sounded like the idea held a ton of promise. Overall, I felt like this set did not deliver on the promise. There were definitely a few smiles from me as my son and I built these and played with them, but I can't get past the sound quality or inconsistent performance of the Smart bricks. The sound quality is occasionally fine with music and some blaster sounds, but the voices are insanely bad - so bad I thought mine were not working right. And the different actions you can do to activate the different sounds work inconsistently which is kind of a bummer. I hope these get better because I really like the idea - it just doesn't seem good enough yet.
