So much fun!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The smart play throne room dual and a-wing is a really fun set. It's 962 pieces which is a lot and I'm not sure someone just 9 years would be able to put it together. But the bright side is that each baggie comes pre-labeled and it's got a matching booklet for instructions with pictures and words. So if you are not able to do it in one sitting which realistically you shouldn't it anyways because that is just so many pieces, but if you couldn't you don't have to worry about having to find a place to put your bags cuz you can just do one bag at a time. It makes it easy for organizing them to assemble. Once it is fully assembled. It's really fun because the smart play makes noise. So the Jedi and the lightsabers light up and it's really fun. It kind of brings the interaction to life. Whether using it to play with or whether just an adult hobby. This is bound to keep you entertained for hours.

Awesome Star Wars Playset
on May 27, 2026

Let me start off by saying I don't write many reviews for my Lego sets, however I really don't understand the hate for these Smart Play sets. I bought this set for my kids (8 & 4 years old) because they are starting to get into Star Wars and I must say they really love this set. They love all the different sounds the set make when interacting with it and they especially love the duel part of the set. Now, I do agree the price is a little steep for these sets which is why I haven't gotten all of them yet but I do think this is a great playset for kids who just starting to watch all of the Star Wars movies and series.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very very good

This set is very good and I highly recommend it.I was hoping to build this with my dad but it was not a build together set so we split in in half.I did the a wing and the throne, he built the lightsaber battle, and my sister built the Death Star shooter. It is very bulky so make space for it.It is so fun my dad and I made a recreation of return of the jedi. It took 3 and a half hours to build so we had a good time together a like Luke and Anikin.

Really cool technology with the smart bricks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was such a really fun build that me and my son were able to do together. There was a smart brick. Technology is a very cool and need addition to this set. It didn’t take us too terribly long to get it built and put together, and I really like the fact that it comes with two smart bricks.

Disappointed
on May 14, 2026

I am disappointed with the interaction of the smart brick. The build was good and fun. I was expecting a lot more having played and built the Lego Mario sets. The "voices" sound like droid gibberish, the bricks don't seem to interact at all with each other. The duel stage is fun to play with but the bricks actually detract from the play. The sounds don't clash when you do and again don't do voices if you're not going to do actual voices.
In short it feels like a step backward in tech from what Mario has. Maybe it will be improved as they upgrade. But I'm not going to rush to buy more sets until I see it has.
Smart brick height is 1-2/3 bricks (5 plates) high for anybody wondering.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Interactive Set
on May 14, 2026

This is a great set for kids. My 8 year old son had been using his minifigs to "battle", so to have a set where that comes to life with the SmartBrick is awesome. The set is a little pricey but that is expected with the LEGO/Star Wars partnership. It was a straightforward build, but the true value is in the play experience. Well done LEGO.
