This exact same gimmick was somehow done better 40 years ago with Light and Sound. Make of that what you will.

Purchased for myself because I wanted to experience the good (and bad) of the smart brick, and it's functions. As an adult fan of Lego, there are sets for my taste and this is simply not one of them. If I have a family one day I have no doubt my kid's will enjoy playing around with the Lego Smart Brick if it lasts that long... if not, I'm sure the Lego Mario, Luigi, and Peach will still be turning on just fine. :p
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is the cheapest entry to get a new "Smart Brick," and it sure does disappoint. The price is steep for a bad and ugly build and a new piece of Tech that, while sounding fun, is executed so poorly that it left a 6-year-old kid and me wondering what LEGO was thinking when they made it. It makes sounds, but nothing from the actual Star Wars films, which they have the license to use. The minifigures all make a goofy "arrooreerooo" sound at different pitches. But the fact that nothing, and I mean, no sound actually sounds like an actual sound from the films it disappointing. LEGO should have dropped with this with CITY or something that doesn't have a distinct set of sounds or dialogue. I cannot recommend this for kids or adults. A 6-year-old lost interest in the brick's limited capabilities within a few minutes. The product is a dud, a fun concept, but as I said, the execution is awful, and thus, the product is not worth the money.
