I had an excellent experience building the LEGO Smart Play Darth Vader's TIE Advanced set. From the moment I opened the box, it was clear that a lot of thought had gone into both the building experience and the interactive features. The instructions were easy to follow, with each stage of the build introducing new techniques that kept the process engaging without ever feeling overwhelming.
The design of the TIE Advanced is outstanding. It captures the iconic look of Darth Vader's legendary starfighter with impressive accuracy, from the distinctive wing panels to the sleek cockpit and detailed interior. The finished model is sturdy, highly detailed, and looks fantastic on display. It's instantly recognizable to any Star Wars fan and does a great job recreating one of the most memorable ships from the saga.
What really sets this set apart is the Smart Play functionality. The interactive features add a whole new dimension to the experience, making the model feel much more immersive than a standard LEGO build. The smart elements work seamlessly and encourage creative play, allowing you to imagine piloting the TIE Advanced through intense space battles, defending the Empire, or recreating memorable scenes from the films. This is the second star wars set with the brick that I got for my 6 year old son. He was very excited playing with the X-wing and couldn’t wait for me to get him the TIE fighter. The interactive brick makes it much more fun for him to play with the set after he built it.

Easy assembly and smart block included

These Legos were easy to put together with easy to read instructions. Darth vadar with the smart block plays the theme song which my son really likes. Totally recommend

i feel like the "smart brick the one we have" is not working right or it's part of the thing when i try putting the water hose thing it sounded like someone going to the bathroom yea i am not sure but love the build

Building the Dark Side has never been this fun

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I spent my evening with Vaders TIE Fighter and the rebel fleet trooper station that comes with it. Its a cool little bonus to have that base to "attack" while your flying the ship. The wing design on this set is super sleek and they used some interesting techniques to get that iconic hexagonal shape without it feeling flimsy. I love the red accents inside the cockpit too, it gives it such a dark side vibe. The smart vader minifig is definitely the star of the show here though, the way it interacts with the hub is just cool tech.
I will say, make sure you charge up the yellow smart brick before you get too deep into the build so you can test the lights as you go. I almost put one of the side panels on upside down because I was rushing to see the sound effects haha. Its also nice that it comes with a rebel trooper and a little turret so you have a whole scene right out of the box. For the price and the tech included, I think this is one of the best value Star Wars sets they’ve put out recently. Definately adding this to my top 5 favorites.

It’s an awesome idea, but unfortunately the back of the ship is incomplete so you can play with it, but I think they could have added a removable part to cover the backside of the ship. Also I would like to point out that the charger emits a high pitched noise when plugged in

Provides hours of interactive fun!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My young and older kids all love this Star Wars Lego set. They play for hours incorporating other Star Wars Smart Play sets. The lights and sounds add another dimension and are realistic and so much fun. I even found myself getting in on the action! My 11 year old found it easy enough to put together herself. There are so many ways to play with the Star Wars set and interchange pieces. The detail of the pieces is impressive and they are well made and very durable. Highly recommend!
