Smart Play FOMO? Try Darth Vader on for size!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thank you influenster and LEGO for the opportunity to try the LEGO Smart Play Darth Vaders Tie Fighter play kit in exchange for my honest review.
My son was over the moon excited to try the new smart brick play feature contained in LEGO. Every piece was packaged with care and numbered with easy to assemble instructions.
**Be sure to charge your interactive brick while you assemble the kit so upon finishing, everything will function as it should.**
The two characters were Lord Vader (the smart brick) and a Rebel Trooper. He made the coolest sounds and actually kept my son's attention longer than usual-which is a good thing and not in a phone/computer. The tie fighter has fold down and up wings that glide into the refuelling station. It's also interactive with the smart brick!
Just a few little remarks/suggestions for future builds:

1.) He said that he wished the tie fighter had a more enclosed body-because of the brick, the backside was totally exposed and didn't look complete.
2.) The base needs a little more attention in that it's quite small compared to the size of the fighter itself.

All in all it was an enjoyable day to build and we had a great time together. Thank you again for such an enjoyable experience.

Cool set, very playable

It’s an awesome idea, but unfortunately the back of the ship is incomplete so you can play with it, but I think they could have added a removable part to cover the backside of the ship. Also I would like to point out that the charger emits a high pitched noise when plugged in
I would recommend this to a friend!

Building the Dark Side has never been this fun

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I spent my evening with Vaders TIE Fighter and the rebel fleet trooper station that comes with it. Its a cool little bonus to have that base to "attack" while your flying the ship. The wing design on this set is super sleek and they used some interesting techniques to get that iconic hexagonal shape without it feeling flimsy. I love the red accents inside the cockpit too, it gives it such a dark side vibe. The smart vader minifig is definitely the star of the show here though, the way it interacts with the hub is just cool tech.
I will say, make sure you charge up the yellow smart brick before you get too deep into the build so you can test the lights as you go. I almost put one of the side panels on upside down because I was rushing to see the sound effects haha. Its also nice that it comes with a rebel trooper and a little turret so you have a whole scene right out of the box. For the price and the tech included, I think this is one of the best value Star Wars sets they’ve put out recently. Definately adding this to my top 5 favorites.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son loved this Lego Smart Play Darth Vaders TIE Fighters set!! It had 473 pieces and the directions made it super easy. The kit included the smart play block and charger. It bring sounds and lights and the scene to life! Its a great size and minimum weight which makes transport play work well! Picking up it makes noises, and lights up ! Super cool build! Definitely recommend for kids and adults!

Cool concept, hours of play

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Darth Vaders tie fighter lego smart play is super cool! My 11 and 9 year old daughters loved building it! It was a little challenging at times for my 9 year old, but they they were able to do it on their own. The smart brick is very simple to use, and it comes with it's own charging pad. Anything that's a red colored brick with a picture can be used with the smart brick. Overall it's a really cool concept, I just wish you were able to purchase more smart bricks.

This is the second star wars set with the brick that I got for my 6 year old son. He was very excited playing with the X-wing and couldn’t wait for me to get him the TIE fighter. The interactive brick makes it much more fun for him to play with the set after he built it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The instructions are so easy to follow and are very clear. All the pieces are easy to find. And he spend couple hours building it. Legos are so great for motor skills. Great price for it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved this one. My daughter and I enjoyed it very much. So much fun to build, great size and awesome set up. We love the way it looks, the functionality with the smart brick is great and the ergonomics of the set is great for little hands as well as adult hands. One thing to note is that it comes apart easy if not handled correctly which. Other than that super fun.
