It's an exciting new idea

The build was standard, the features of the smart brick are great. My son is loving it, it works out great for him and makes him engage more. The value isn't there though, need more than one smart brick, if there was two the play could be really special.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Smart Play FOMO? Try Darth Vader on for size!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thank you influenster and LEGO for the opportunity to try the LEGO Smart Play Darth Vaders Tie Fighter play kit in exchange for my honest review.
My son was over the moon excited to try the new smart brick play feature contained in LEGO. Every piece was packaged with care and numbered with easy to assemble instructions.
**Be sure to charge your interactive brick while you assemble the kit so upon finishing, everything will function as it should.**
The two characters were Lord Vader (the smart brick) and a Rebel Trooper. He made the coolest sounds and actually kept my son's attention longer than usual-which is a good thing and not in a phone/computer. The tie fighter has fold down and up wings that glide into the refuelling station. It's also interactive with the smart brick!
Just a few little remarks/suggestions for future builds:

1.) He said that he wished the tie fighter had a more enclosed body-because of the brick, the backside was totally exposed and didn't look complete.
2.) The base needs a little more attention in that it's quite small compared to the size of the fighter itself.

The instructions are so easy to follow and are very clear. All the pieces are easy to find. And he spend couple hours building it. Legos are so great for motor skills. Great price for it.

Smart Play brings Star Wars to life!

Having the Smart Play brick as a part of the set was so exciting as some of our other sets didn’t have it included. We loved hearing Darth Vader breathe and the Tie Fighter flying through the air. We had a great time and have this to add to our Star Wars collection.

Smart brick Brings legos to life

It brings play to life: hear engines ready to launch, laser shooting sounds, and the lights. The possibilities are endless with this toy. The brick itself is very light and universal. I would recommend this lego set.

Fun Lego with smart brick

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 6 year old LOVES this Lego, setting it up with the coordinating pieces or flying it around the living room. It took him about 2.5 hours of solid time to put together. The addition of the smart brick is really helpful, to add lights and awesome sound effects to the space ship.

Yes, the sounds aren’t the greatest, but my son loves it! He was flying around the house shooting everything :). We did get him some smart brick compatible sets. I wish those came with a brick or Lego should start selling the smart brick individually
