It is not as bad as I thought, the smart brick is pretty cool but the only real reason I bought this was for the cheapest way to get the brick. Not worth the money if you are a collector.

Overpriced.for 2 figs one smart, vader should at least sound like himself, the sounds for the build as well.Plaese lego just make the compatible sets normally priced and the smart bricks slightly more expensive.please lego lowered the praises and fix sounds and build. In conclusion this smart play system was better that I thought but lacks accuracy

I strongly dislike the smart brick sets. This whole wave is a swing and miss Lego but I believe u can bounce back. However, these sets are truly awful like this tie fighter is missing its entire backside lol. If earth Vader was flying thjs he would just get sucked into the vacuum of space. Not trying to hate on Lego, just please do better and listen to the Lego Star Wars community in the future.

Where to start.. Positives: A fairly easy and fun build. Sturdy and swooshable.
Concerns : SMART brick debuts with star wars, in a premium priced set, but doesn't make official star wars sounds!?! The price should have covered the costs to buy rights for the official sound bytes but this is a really concerning missed opportunity for Lego
It's not clear how to make sounds with smart figs , or what different motions cause what noises/lights when smart figs are near.
I feel misled to be honest, price wise, and franchise wise I would expect more.
I could be wrong but I think the confusion will make kids lose interest in the smart play aspect and just play with it the way they would any other Lego set and the smart bricks will end up gathering dust at the bottom of a toybox.
here's hoping the next wave of smart sets / smart brick updates brings much more to the table

Took a big chance and purchased this set for my Grandson to play with. He is still too young to build but loves to play pretend and thought the interactions would be fun for him. I built the set which was average at best and attached the smart brick., The god awful sounds that came out of this thing still haunt my ears writing this. The worst part is swooshing it makes it sound like a broken speaker instead of real tie fighter zoom sounds that literally everyone connects with. The “Vader” sounds are comically bad in person as well. I am a seasoned LEGO guy and I watched all the videos about this but thought maybe I would be surprised with the feedback play. I was not and I am embarrassed I fell for it to be honest. This is a potentially great idea that was executed poorly and I think I am not alone. Anyway, hate to be so negative because I genuinely LOVE LEGO but I don’t love this at all.

No one over seven would like these if they have watched star wars. Stop this trash smart play and go back to normal Lego star wars. Multiple kids I know and myself think this is stupid. It's for only little kids I guess. But just don't make anymore Lego. Talk about promoting imagination by the way. The one toy that doesn't involve tech and used to be fun has now been taken over. Get rid of your AI generated sounds and "interactive" features.

Looks good from the front, but not the back. And the fact that this is the cheapest way to get the Smart Brick is so greedy.

Let me first start off by saying I have had many many many Lego sets throughout my life. I still have the ones I had as a kid.
I’ve never had a set that was missing a piece or had incorrect documentation.
This set is the outlier. The manual sent has a QR code to scan. The QR code registers a different incorrect set for the ”millennium falcon” and this results in me not able to register this set or look at the LEGO builder app manual.
Next this set has missing pieces, but the missing pieces are then replaced with entirely different pieces that don’t fit. I have pieces in bag 1 that are completely random.
I skipped ahead a few pages and it looks like the missing pieces are necessary to complete the front….
I contacted support. Hoping I hear back from them. I had to stop at bag 2 since I couldn’t progress any further.
I wouldn’t recommend this set unfortunately. Looks cool from the picture on the box though….
