Got this for my girlfriend in peak design store in SF, and she has loved it! She's a biologist and loves being able to clip her camera on her bag for quick access and has never had a problem using it. Simple and effective, also made of nice feeling metal. 10/10 would recommend! Thanks peak design!

Secure your gear!

The clip is very secure given you don't press the release mechanism haha. I've loved using it and have found that it is easiest for me to use when the release button is pointed up with the capture on my front right hip as it is easy to press with my left hand and grab the camera with my right (I'm right-handed).
I do wish the capture had an option to have the release button on the opposite side as it is difficult to use when using the PRO pad on my right hip (for formal events where I just have a leather belt) because the release button is on the other side of my body on the other side of the camera. Maybe it's just a skill issue and I should get better at one-handing it.
I do love that this plate is ARCA-SWISS and can be used in other tripods that support this system. I have some bigger RF lenses that make slotting the clip into the capture device difficult, so just make sure to be precise when putting it in and practice to get better.
Overall I love the product and just got another one to go along with my PD outdoor bags.

Got this as a present from my girlfriend after I complained for years about needing a good solution to carry my camera. I have since then used it on two weddings and two vacations. I could not be happier. It works great, is absolutely safe and also looks good. I have to admit that I have not tried other solutions, but I don’t see a need to do so right now. Will now buy a second clip for my other camera.

I bought this product about 3 years ago and it is worth every penny. I absolutely love my Peak Designe Camera Clip. It has made many different hiking trips with me (Yosemite NP, Badlands NP, Custer State Park, Smoky Mountains NP, Olympic NP, Mt Ranier NP, North Cascades NP, Acadia NP and many more. ) It is one of my favorite and most used camera accessories. Highly recommend.

Used it for 3 weeks trekking and worked pretty well!
Small debris will hinder its operation and scratch the painted metal, just something to look out for.

I brought this with me to the Grand Canyon. It allowed me to carry my camera securely and free up both hands when manoeuvring around the terrain, with quick and easy access to the camera when needed.

Best clipping system I have ever encountered. It's flexible enough for different placement, robust to hold heavy cameras with heavy lenses and it simple in installation & everyday use. Despite some critics, I personally had never encountered a bag with straps too thick - my photo backpack, 65 liter tourist backpack, everyday sling - it just goes everywhere and does its job.
