The options on brush heads is very good and allows you to make the decision on what head to use based on your current dental situation. Using the smart phone app is helpful for tracking my established dental cleaning routine. I highly recommend this product.
Pros: cleans well
Cons: if coverage isn't 100% show ways to improve it

I didn't think my Sonicare could get any better, but...

I was very excited to receive a free sample of the Philips DiamondClean Smart to review. I have been using a Philips Sonicare for years, and I didn`t really expect there to be a significant improvement, but I was wrong. The DiamondClean is amazing! I tried using all three brush heads and cleaning setting methods. I could tell a difference between each one, but all three left my teeth feeling as clean as they do when I leave the dentist after a cleaning. I`ve never had another toothbrush system give me that effect. And maybe it is just a placebo effect, but I swear my teeth are already whiter a week later. I did use the app the first few times I brushed. It was helpful for timing and determining where I needed to brush better, but it isn`t really practical for me to use every day (I don`t usual have my phone handy when I`m getting ready for work or for bed). The base is very attractive (I have the blush pink color) and the travel case is very nice. In fact, I`m traveling at the moment, and love having the case, which allows me to bring multiple brush heads with me. The wireless charger is also a great plus. I highly recommend this responsive, attractive, and effective update from Philips. I don`t think I can very go back to an inferior brush!! - Melissa H.

Great product, but more complex than I need

Overall, I think this is a really great product. It looks good, feels good in the hand and def. does a great job of cleaning your teeth. My one issue with it is that it just feels more complicated than I need toothbrushing to be. It has a lot of bells and whistles, and many of them are just more than I need.
I do like that it has multiple modes for different types of cleaning, but I don't want to have to juggle and keep track of three different brush heads. I also find the timer feature (the toothbrush pauses briefly every 30 seconds to let you know to move to the next section of your teeth) a little distracting. I would prefer it this was a blinking light or a sound rather than a pause in the action.
My favorite feature is the pressure sensor that lets you know if you are pushing down too hard. I definitely do that a lot and this is helping me retrain myself to be gentler on those pearly whites.
All in all, this is an effective, high-quality product. I will probably stick with my mid-range Sonicare toothbrush, but this is a great choice for someone who loves gadgets and wants all the bells and whistles.

This is my 4th Sonicare model in the past 17 years. It’s also my favorite! It’s light in my hand, the prettiest pink, charges easy in its glass cup which also cleans super easy. The brush head design is amazingly perfect for my mouth and thoroughly cleans every inch! I’m extremely happy!

High end toothbrush that's easy to use and gives great results

Overall, I loved this toothbrush but the bluetooth feature with smart sensors is a little much. I did receive a free sample to use for this review.
Amazing points of this brush: 4 cleaning modes, 3 intensity settings (some people have a hard time adjusting to this type of brush), 3 smart brush heads, charging glass, and a 14 day battery. Brush definitely holds a great charge! I liked being able to choose which brush head I wanted to use. Very easy to use and teeth and gums look and feel much cleaner. The charging glass is super easy to use and helps keep your countertop clean.
I thought the bluetooth technology and corresponding app was a bit much. I don't really need to check my phone to see how I did brushing! However, this could be a great tool for those who enjoy having their phone nearby 24/7.
Pros: 3 intensity settings, long lasting battery, 4 cleaning modes
Cons: bluetooth technology a little overkill

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had several electric toothbrushes; Oral B, & earlier versions of Philips'. This is not an "electric" toothbrush. Philips has created an "ELECTRONIC" toothbrush! You get feedback while you're brushing - for instance, it lets you know immediately if you're brushing too hard. You can program your brush for different levels of how hard you brush, as well as what you're trying to achieve - general cleaning, whitening, gum care, etc. And Philips has multiple brush heads to help you reach your oral care goals.
If you're on the fence about a new cordless electric toothbrush, get this Philips - that pitch about "use a brush like a dentist's" - this Philips has the small rotary head like Oral B, but Philips also has brushes behind as well. I had an Oral B before this, and the difference in performance and results is like night and day; I will be staying with Philips for life.

Excellent product!

Having used a Sonicare electric toothbrush for several years, I really did not expect this one to be that much different. Was I surprised! It was incredibly different and improved.
The toothbrush is a nice size and fits well in my hand. The handle has an illuminated display that indicates the four mode choices and the intensity level. It came with three different types of brush heads and a very nice hard shell travel case.
The instructions for set up and using it were easy to understand. I downloaded the app and sync`d my iPhone`s bluetooth with the toothbrush. I opened the app and followed the directions. The app provides a lot of feedback to help ensure I am brushing thoroughly. It shows areas where I missed and guides me back to those spots to brush again. It also indicates if I am using too much pressure or scrubbing too hard. There is a lot of information available in the app about my brushing habits. It also has a reminder of when to replace the brush heads. I was skeptical as to whether all of this information was necessary, but after using it for several weeks, I do feel that the feedback from the app is helping me to do a much better job keeping my teeth and gums clean.
The charger for this toothbrush is a glass. The toothbrush sits in the glass to charge but you can use the glass to rinse after brushing. I will say that the toothbrush and glass look very nice sitting on my counter. Overall, I am very impressed with the Philips DiamondClean Smart electric toothbrush. I really believe my oral health is improved by using this toothbrush.
