I was super excited to get this toothbrush from all of the great reviews I read previously, but I am disappointed with a few of its features. When using the toothbrush, the timing is never long enough.
When using the "count down feature/where you should be brushing" on the app, it always says I missed two sections of my teeth after following the instructions. It has a set time for each section, so it runs out of time before getting to all of the sections of the mouth. Why wouldn't the brush timer last long enough to get every section of the mouth? This has caused me to use the toothbrush at least two times every time I brush, meaning I brush my teeth "twice" in the morning and "twice" at night.
This causes the brush heads to get used up so quickly --because they tell you to change it after 180 uses. (Otherwise it reminds you every day it needs to be changed!) Divide that by 4 and it will only last 45 days. For the price of the brush heads, these toothbrushes should be lasting longer than just 45 days. I am disappointed I paid so much for this product and have to continually pay for the expensive brush heads so often.
Its a great product. Very thorough cleaning. Brush has customizable speed controls which is a plus. App is ok needs bit more improvement with connectivity.

Disappointing reliability

Failed in less than 18 months. Started making loud noise, then almost no vibration. Especially disappointing as a retired Philips engineer that focused on reliability.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi Filips1996,
We're sorry to hear about that your experiencing issues with your Sonicare toothbrush. Place the brush head correctly. If your toothbrush makes an abnormally loud noise, a loose brush head may be the reason. Ensure the brush head is firmly placed on the handle and not loose. A small gap will remain between the handle and brush head as needed for vibration. you need to identify where the noise is coming from. Try the following steps: Step 1: Remove the brush head from the handle. Step 2: Turn your toothbrush on. Is your toothbrush still making a loud or abnormal noise? Yes: your toothbrush is broken. We recommend that you request an online repair or exchange. No: if the noise stops, your brush head is defective or worn out. You need to replace your brush head with a new one. If none of these tips help, your toothbrush may be damaged internally. We recommend that you request a repair or exchange for your toothbrush. Depending on your location, you can request an online repair or exchange.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] They showed 2 brush heads in the picture and a travel case with a USB connection. I did not receive 2 brush heads, when I called back for the travel case, they sent me a white travel case for the my black set.

It has all the bells and whistles, but with my Samsung Android, the app doesn't work well. The toothbrush is o.k., and it comes with 3 heads, but still not worth what I paid. The app has to be opened twice to actually connect. I have a report in to the developers. I'm disappointed. My check-ups are good, but with this - I expect a STELLAR check-up next time... :(
