I like the design but it leaks. I put water inside and shook the mug to test the water seal and water leaked. I dried it and tried again, same problem. Both my wife and mine.

Did not realize the entire vessel is not porcelain lined. Keeps the coffee hot but still imparts that funky stainless steel taste due to the stainless edge and rim. Yuck.

I gave the mug 5 stars because it is everything promised by the company. It's extremely well made and keeps beverages piping hot. I purchased the 16 oz. Carter Wide Mug. It's too big. I make tea in mine, and the volume is too much for one tea. The whole thermos just seems too large. I think I would have preferred the 12 oz. Wide Mug. Again, I gave the mug 5 stars because the mug is great! These are just my personal preferences.

Don't sleep on the inner ceramic coating

I really enjoy this mug. The mechanism to open and close the Carter Slide Lid's sipping aperture is tactile and satisfying. I've come to really love the inner ceramic coating, which does a tremendous job of keeping the metallic taste out of my coffee. The thermal performance is also excellent, with my drink remaining warm from 9AM until 3PM each day.

This mug is amazing. So sleek and easy to cary around. The taste of coffee does stick to the inside of the ceramic walls, but if you use it just for coffee, that's just fine.

The perfect mug! If it’s possible to love a mug consider me in love! This ticks all the boxes. Stylish with great heat retention. Totally leak proof, and the shorter chubby size makes it really stable and far less likely to be accidentally tipped over. Did I mention style? This exudes style!
