As a new mom, I needed an insulated coffee mug that I can use with my aeropress and then stash into my diaper backpack confidently without worrying about spills or leaks. The Fellow houseplants mug is perfect! Plus I always get lots of compliments when I take it out and about
Nice and keeps coffee hot like other carter. My husband likes the thicker one in the wide design. Doesn’t fit in my cup holder, but he puts it in his bag and takes it to work
The lid drips everywhere, still haven’t figured out the way to take it off correctly without coffee and condensation going down the side. Frustrating because the rest is great minus non dishwasher safe
While it is too wide for a good grip with my arthritis it is perfect for use with my AeroPress. It keeps everything hotter while brewing using the Prismo attachment. Exactly what I wanted.
Great, but doesn't quite fit the prismo, which it totally should.

Excellent mug with a couple notable drawbacks. First, it DOES NOT fit the Fellow Prismo aeropress attachment, at least not well. The prismo is juuuust barely bigger than the mug opening, so to brew, you've got to tilt the aeropress slightly, which is frustrating. It works, but not well (note that the regular aeropress filter will fit, but had Fellow made this lid all of 1mm wider, so would their own product, the prismo). Second, why are the sip lids not available for this mug? Such a bummer. Really was hoping for the whole Fellow/Aeropress ecosystem to work a bit smoother. All that being said, I love the build quality, insulation, and packability. No annoying carabiner loops or handles, and the color (a burnt orange) is great. I use this at home and when I go out to the coffee shop, and it seems like it'll be my only travel mug for quite a long time.
Pros: * very sturdy * leak proof * good insulation
Cons: * soaks up bad flavors * ruins the taste of my light roast coffee * interior stains easily
I really wanted to love this mug. I even bought two! And it was fine for a darker roast, before I learned how to brew a subtle tea-like light brew. But it absolutely ruins the delicate taste of my coffee. Taste was the whole reason I bought this!
Also if you put anything other than coffee in this, you'll never get the taste out. I've washed it dozens of times, but I can't get the floral taste of a cold-brew oolong tea out of it. Yuck! My coffee tastes like flowers now. The mug is ruined after putting cold tea in it once.
As a teacher, I so appreciate that I can make myself a warm cup of coffee before I leave for school and know that it will still be perfectly ready to enjoy during 2nd hour prep. I look forward to it everyday.
