Good features for midrange phone, poor performance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm reviewing the A16 5g, and to be honest, I'm extremely disappointed with this phone. Constantly hangs, freezes, and restarts. I went from a A53 5g to this phone because of accidental screen breakage, but in hindsight I wish I would have just had the A53 5g repaired. The A16 5g is disappointing to say the least. Very nice screen, very nice sound, but that is about the sum of it. Save your money go for the A36 or even wait for the A56. You can thank me later. Also as of time of this message, no significant "Galaxy AI". No circle to search. Etc.

However, with the new One UI 7.0 update, you can still take advantage of Gemini and Google Assistant for a variety of smart features.
To enhance the performance you’ve mentioned, we recommend ensuring that your software is up to date and managing your background applications. A quick optimization using the Device Care settings can lead to noticeable improvements. By using the Quick optimization feature, your device will identify apps that consume excessive battery life, clear unnecessary files, scan for malware, and close any active apps that are not in use.
Optimizing your phone is straightforward. Go to Settings, swipe to tap Device Care, select Optimize Now, and then tap Done. Nor bad for price but oh so slow

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased This phone As a backup To my note ultra 24. It had a slightly different UI Or at least some of the initial setup options were new to me. Voice to text which I rely on heavily. Because of Arthritis in my hands was so picky and unreliable. I could use it. And compared to my ultra, it was slower than molasses. I keep it charged and take it with me when I hike just in case.

This phone has been a life saver

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been with samsung ever since I got my first one and the Samsung Galaxy A16 5G has really been the best out of all the others. Not only is it easy to navigate, but it also carries more storage which comes in handy with the amount of pictures and videos I enjoy taking. While Galaxy AI isn't available on this phone, Gemini is and it makes looking things up so much faster and easier too. I've had this phone for two months and I instantly fell in love the first day and I know I'll continue to love it as time goes on
