I have been using Turbo Tax for years now, really appreciate the user friendly platform and the guiding questions and layouts. I always feel relieved to see the audit risk assessment and really like the analyzing feature with potential errors highlighted for my attention

What a ripoff

Lack of ability to create my own attachments as well as the lack of ability to group 1099 brokerages into one input are very frustrating. Clunky UI and data mining at every corner. Nickel and diming you for efiles and states

TurboTax Home & Business is exceptional

I've used TurboTax (TT) for at least 20 years because it has proven to be the easiest way to do my own taxes. This is especially great when itemizing and not using the short 1040 form. I've used the Home & Business version since we do have a small business to deal with. TT addresses every possible item and provides a "help" to better define or explain the item, often with reference to a particular IRS form. TT's Review feature is thorough and finds any errors or omissions in the forms. This function is extremely helpful. Using the eFile capability means I can file, sit back, and wait for my return. TT will notify you when the filing is transmitted to and received by the IRS. I highly recomment TurboTax!

E-File Cost Discrepancy

I've been using TurboTax before it was called that. But I was surprised this year when it initially told me it would only cost $20 to e-file my state returns but when I went to make the actual payment it was increased to $25 per state. I'm just hopeful that there are not other areas that add or subtract amounts and make the submitted forms fraudulent!

Bugs are a feature

First, I used TurboTax, instead of a less expensive tax prep software to ensure that my prior years files would be imported. That did not happen, and none of the online support instructions worked- I mean they referred to links that simply were not there.
Second, your fees for the services provided are not conspicuously displayed. So, the release you require, which commits the user to pay any fee you seek, is utterly absurd. I'm surprised you haven't been sued. Oh wait. You have been. I see little has changed.
