TURBO TAX IS ONLY AS GOOD AS THE INFORMATION THAT IS INPUT. YOU DO NEED TO KNOW SOME OF THE TAX LAW TO USE IT ACCURATELY.

RMD Numbers

Issues on entering 1099 R's after entering the distribution information it prompts to how much RMD was distributed . I already entered the tax withheld. After entering the RMD requested number it keeps increasing my tax liability by the thousands, so I just enter 0 and no additional increase in taxes due change.

Unfortunately, TurboTax gets more complicated every year. I understand that's due to Federal tax laws being changed.
