I really appreciate the ability to download trade data from the brokerage firms. One thing new to me this year was reporting the sale of collectibles for Schedule D. TT wasn't real clear on how to open up and manually enter the info on collectible sales after I finished downloading the brokerage data. I was able to guess and figure it out under the term "Other" but I think that TT should have more clearly guided me to that application and displayed an example. I had a confidence problem until I worked my way through it and saw the final result on Schedule D. (I am happy with the way it worked out; was just nervous doing it.)

I've been using Turbo Tax for years for my business. It's so easy once you answer all the questions. I see it's free to regular users, but I always buy Home & Business. Thanks for keeping it simple, because I saved hundreds of dollars through the years of using it for my business. Thanks again

TurboTax was not ready in time for early filers

I have used TurboTax for many years. This year I was not impressed with your preparedness. We give hundreds of items to Goodwill every year, and we use your valuation tool to arrive at a valid value for deductions. This year, all we got was a note that the tool was not yet available, but coming soon. That does me no good if I am doing my taxes now.
Also, when I was trying to pay for Audit defense, I had a terrible time entering the expiration month of my credit card. You did not fully debug that screen, and the pop-down did not operate correctly.
These kind of errors on your part do not make me confident that you will help me file my taxes correctly. You really need to be 100% ready when it is time to file taxes.

TurboTax Has Become Less User Friendly & Expensive

Too many hidden costs. I purchased the Home and Business with 5 free efiles.However, I am continuously asked to purchase an additional add on. When it came time to efile, I was asked for $40 to file, giving me the option to pay now (with a credit card) or have it deducted from my return. There were some areas that needed better explanation without me having to pay to ask a question about using the product.

Dividend and Interest input function now bad.

Hi - Very much DISLIKED the new dividend and interest input function. Before, all of the previous years' entries were brought in as default info. Now, the new format requires a lot of redundant keying. Got very tedious quickly.

TurboTax Home & Business

I love the product overall and have used it for years. I used Home & Business for 2025.
I do have two areas that i would love to see improved.
1. While in forms view, it would be great to be able to "drill down" on the figures by clicking on them and going to their source calculation. For example - It took me a while to find the source of an item on the Medical expenses worksheet. I had some consulting income (1099) and employee income (w-2) and $20k in Medical premiums (Medicare) and expenses. The item was on the Medical Expense Worksheet line 2.o. It took a while to figure out that it is the net result of schedule 7206.
2. Medicare Premiums/Medical Expenses while self-employed - get duplicated when added in the SSA-1099 section and Itemized in Schedule A and listed in Schedule C.
