The only problem I had was dealing with getting credit for foreign taxes paid for stocks and etfs.

Spent and paid early for the Turbo Tax and could not use it. I buy it early so I can gage my tax liability before years end. waste of time and loss and credit union discount.

TurboTax and Quicken suck.

I am disappointed that this version of Turbo Tax did not import my information from my 2024 return. I have been using TT since 1985. It always imported personal information before. Also, when I imported Mutual Fund data from Quicken, it imported all the funds transactions, leading me to believe I owed $83,000+ in federal taxes. I had to delete forms and start over
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Intuit sold this without all the necessary sheets!

TurboTax desktop did not have the Sch E depreciation worksheets available until Feb 14, 2026... and even at that you had to use the forms view, the step by step would not work... step by step still says the form is not ready. Yet, the form has been available online for weeks. They SHOULD TELL possible buyers that the software is incomplete before they commit to a purchase. Can you imagine opening a box with a new vacuum you just bought and not having all the parts? Well not having Sch E Depreciation Worksheet ready on the desktop version is just like selling a vacuum without the parts. SHAME on Intuit. I've been a TT user for 24 years.

I usually use the online version and have been using TT since 1999. This year, the online version couldn't handle a simple 529 distro trying to tax me on room and board usage. So I switched to the desktop version thinking I could just import all the work I'd done in the online version. Nope. "Error Code 190". So I installed the state program as suggested and the error never changed. No helpful text. No troubleshooting guide. Nothing. That meant I had to re-enter everything including my wife's business expenses (which online can be imported via XLSX but not in the desktop version!) all by hand. Needless to say, this is the last year of using TT after 25 years.
Pros: My employment status changed this year
