Gets the job done

It is easy to use although I feel the much earlier versions were even easier. I've been using home and business for many years, so I pretty much know what has to be done/included. If I get stuck I use google or TT help and can figure it out. All told, it gets the job done fairly painlessly.

OK, with issues.

Turbo tax is generally good, but thre are some really annoying things. It is slow and cumbersome to deat with my account to pay, etc. When printing things to .pdf, the program stalls. Why are bank account numbers required to be re-entered multiple times--for example once confirmed twice for an account already in the file for federal it needs to be done again. Make the annoying administrative things better. it seems to take longer to deal with turbotax account features than actually do taxes.

Smooth Tax Filing Experience with Awesome Support

I’ve had a great experience using TurboTax for filing my income taxes. The step-by-step instructions and side notes make it easy to enter my information accurately. I also appreciate that tax support agents are readily available, with minimal wait times, and are always patient and helpful in answering my questions.

Well designed but software glitches this year

I have used TurboTax Home & Business for many years and it is very well designed for easy filing of schedule C and great at finding deductions BUT this year I had to call technical support twice for "software glitches" that took hours to resolve (because of my slow computer). Mandatory updates and re-entering authorization codes were a big slow down. Hopefully fixable in the 2025 version!

Too buggy for use with complicated returns.

Generally easy to enter information, but have to dig to be able to enter fairly common tax situations (like PTE tax credit payments in several of the states). But, program is really buggy. Shuts down regularly for now reason. Information often is isn't saved after such a shutdown even if you've just saved the return before closing the file or the shutdown. Worst of all is it was impossible to e-file. The pre-filing review showed no errors in the multiple files (federal and five states), but program would not move past the final step before payment. Spent an hour on the phone with the help desk, and while the tech eventually got me to the screen where I could transmit the file, the program locked up 5 times during supposed transmission and I was never able to complete the filings, plus had to pay before filing was allowed, so out the fee for the filings that never happened. Finally gave up and printed the files for mailing, and even that took multiple attempts through shutdowns and having to re-enter information multiple times even though, as noted above, the file had been save multiple times during the process of trying to e-file and then print.

Prefer Desktop version

The access to the desktop mode is terribly frustrating. Turbo Tax seems to try to force everyone to use the online version which makes locating the link to the desktop difficult to find and or access.
