Crashing 2024 Turbo Tax
on February 9, 2025

The 2024 version of Turbo Tax Business seemed unstable It either crashed or locked up most every time I opened it to work on my return. I was finally able to get it completed and transmitted, so that is a positive.
Pros: My employment status changed this year, I bought or sold investments

Not Happy

I was not happy with the fact you can pay to e-return your state tax return but if you elect to mail it in for free the forms are unavailable for printing. You can preview all the state forms for filing but no way to print them. Feels like a setup to get you to pay 25bucks to e file a simple state tax return

Not Happy. Delay in Updates cost me $1700.

The delay in getting information about IRA contributions into the TurboTax 2024 program cost me $1700. The program was not updated for IRA contributions until 01/31/2025. If I had known to make the contribution in 2024 I would have reduced my tax bill by $1700. As it is I am not able to make the contribution in 2025 for the 2024 tax season.

I wish the Federal part would make a deference between Social Security Retirment benefits and Social Security Disability benefits. Would help a lot with that information is transferred to the State tax
