Save me from income tax nightmare

I have used turbo tax for more than 20 years. It provides comprehensive tax solutions for my unusual tax situations like rental house, installment sale, and foreign income. I can live with turbo tax without seeking or consulting with CPA or tax adviser. Thanks to turbo tax team providing wonderful service to relief my stress of tax filing.

Excellent Tax Prep Software!

TurboTax is an excellent tax prep software. I have some tricky situations in my annual tax filing task and TurboTax is aways up to speed on the lates nuances of addressing those situations. I've used TurboTax for more than 20 years and plan to continue to do so for years to come.

2024 State Taxes Through Turbo Tax

Usually, there are no problems. The only thing I have a problem with is that I bought the software and was supposed to receive a $10 discount on filing the state taxes. However, while processing, the cost went back up to $25 instead of $15. I did not get what I paid for.

Program updates Needed

The program allows me to attempt e-filing and submitting payment for fees even though that option is not available. The program had numbers pulled in I assume may have resulted from prior tax years, (or prior inputs that I had no way to validate. Also, the program allows options for filing fees to be deducted from refund (which includes additional fees for services with Green Dot bank). It gives the option to pay with a credit card, with no available method to pay with an alternative method. These options need to be removed as the program does not allow any fees to be returned or refund amount updated. Then a message comes up that says efiling season is over....
It also attempts program updates that start and will not complete, and offers the option for audit defense, but when the filer attempts to sign up for it - it attempts to charge the filer for services but does not offer option to add credit card information.

Perhaps as filing has become more difficult with new laws, and exclusions or additions; it has become a bit more stress provoking working thru the grind of itemization.
